Nancy Poulos, PE is the President of Athena Consulting, Inc which provides engineering and planning for new design, brownfield and decommissioning projects in the offshore Gulf of Mexico. Nancy began her career in engineering design in 1994. In 2010, she successfully managed the engineering of the decommissioning of a 2500 Ton 8-Pile deck that suffered severe fire damage and thus began the decommissioning phase of her career. After 15 years in the decommissioning field, Nancy has managed the detailed engineering and planning of well over 500 decommissioning projects – working for both Oil and Gas Operators and removal contractors to provide unique engineering solutions. Most recently Athena Consulting worked with a removal contractor to engineer a dual barge lift of a 2050 ST 8-pile jacket structure. Athena Consulting’s experience provides a “outside the box” perspective to solve challenging decommissioning problems.
Nancy has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Tulane University and is a registered professional engineer in Viriginia, Texas and Louisiana.
