Troy Matherne is the Power Systems Vice President for Louisiana Cat; directly responsible for
sales, packaging, engineering and project management for Marine, Oil & Gas, Electric Power
Generation, and Industrial solutions. He is a native of Louisiana, born and raised in Marrero,
having attended Archbishop Shaw High School and the University of New Orleans. Having lived
throughout the U.S. and across southern Louisiana, he now resides in St. Charles Parish. Troy
has worked for Louisiana Cat since 2008 and was influential in the development of and
personally handled the Trademarking of Louisiana Cat’s Product Health Connect® and Product
Health Command®; products to remotely monitor engines, generators and other vital
components on marine vessels. Additionally, while General Manager of the Parts and Service
Divisions, he designed and oversaw completion of Louisiana Cat’s Product Health Centers
located in Reserve and New Iberia, LA; remote monitoring facilities currently monitoring over
10,000 assets. The Product Health Centers are vital to providing total condition monitoring
assisting customers in maximizing their uptime.
