Chance Maritime Technologies has built its flagship vessel, the MC-29, a twenty nine foot long uncrewed boat capable of more than 20 days of operation at sea. The vessel supports a 1,000 lb payload with 2 kW of continuous power. After completing sea trials early in 2024, it has been used to complete multiple operations throughout the year, including with multiple payloads simultaneously on board. Moreover, its successors, the MC-40 class and LR-30 class vessels are nearing completion, adding even greater capability to Chance Maritime Technologies’ fleet. All fleet vessels provide ample power and precise maneuvering to enable a broad variety of payloads. Connectivity to shore utilizes Starlink satellite communications for full beyond visual line of sight operation and payload data offload. We will dive into the operations of this new platform and what is just beyond the horizon for Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) technology.
